It seems that daily medical science is becoming more and more the stuff of science fiction and we shouldn’t be surprised by the often astounding breakthroughs made. This however is so amazing that it seems hard to believe.
Doctors have developed a special technique which could save victims of violent crime or road accidents, effectively bringing them back from the dead. The method involves pumping ice cold fluid into the veins and main arteries of a victim to rapidly cool down the body. This then induces a state of advanced hypothermia which slows brain and heart activities, and prolonging the life of the victim. Essentially slowing down the victims internal clock. This then gives doctors vital extra minutes to perform procedures intrinsic to saving lives. Sounds ahem, cool huh?
