Is it me, or are all the good movies these days full of CGI? Is it something to do with budgets? What is it? I know your traditional rom-com or drama don't usually have much of a need for special effects, but when I look at trailers for all the upcoming releases, the films I want to see are almost always visually enhanced.
It's not just action and adventure movies like Avatar, Thor and The Green Hornet, it's also become a mainstay in children's films too, like Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland and Steven Spielberg's upcoming 3D film The Adventures of Tintin.

I'd love to be able to take a load of cg tutorials to know how on earth they do it! I don't know if it's more impressive the way they blend CGI with real-life acting in films like Lord Of The Rings and Beowulf, or when they create whole new worlds completely from graphics, like Pixar's Wall-E and Up.
